It's now a really nice shade tree.

Laundry closet bifolds

Left panels open for full access using Johnson Hardware mounted on an extra header jamb. Right panels are Home Depot stock except for width extension. Total height from regular jamb to panel bottom is exactly 80". I have 1.5" clearance to subfloor for carpeting and gap.

Similar to full-open bifolds in the other room.

Laundry closet

This is on the other side of the laundry nook, separated by an insulated plumbing wall. It has the same Watts Intelliflow shutoff valve with leak sensor. The floor is also simulated bamboo vinyl tiles over 3/4" underlayment.

Sandalwood, 3rd year

A lot of dropped leaves and bare inner branches (mostly lopped off now), but otherwise incredibly huge.

Cheesewood, 7th year

Finally growing some nice new leaves and branches...

Pittosporum undulatum or Victorian box or Cheesewood

Brisbane Box, Lilac, Lemonwood

Brisbane Box (left) has been in the ground about 3.5 years now. Soil was thought to be poor. Watering has been more expert and ideal — weekly only for first summer, occasionally for second summer, once for third, now dry winter plus late spring showers with zero hosing. Pruning of lower branches helped. Mulch is 3/4" fir bark.

Wild Lilac (center), planted same time as Brisbane, has been growing profusely. Taller than expected, but visual screening affect is a welcome. Needs sun.

Lemonwood (right) is almost 5 years in the ground. Described as "fast growing," it's been surpassed by the Brisbane Box.

The Canna (far left) did not flower in June.
